A reminder of the duties & responsibilities of helpers. Helpers are not a substitute for Bapak but carry on the work of Bapak through their own individuality. The reasons why Ibu needs to say this.
Pure latihan. Submission to God most important.
Healing and alternative practices. Why separation from the latihan?
Helper structure is for organisational purposes. Only one grade of helper. No league table. Important for helpers to remember this and have humility and respect and value each other.
Also helpers have a shared responsibility with the committee.
Double duty of helpers. To serve the members and to work on themselves and their own shortcomings. Helpers should be models for the members and have the qualities of susila budhi and dharma.
Drugs etc. Young people in Subud are vulnerable. Explanations are needed by the right people about the latihan and its uses.
Subud is noble. Actions of some Subud members can counter this. All our actions, right and wrong, carry on into eternity. Examples of what can obstruct the progress of ourselves and Subud. What applicants hear about Subud can be very different from the reality they encounter on being opened.
The organisation is responsible for the integrity of Subud.
The future of Subud and the funding of activities. This is a joint responsibility of the committee and helpers and individual members.
