We have two responsibilities – to our soul and to our life on earth. During the time of the Prophets there was no barrier between them, their soul, and the power of God. Over time this contact has weakened because of the different influences on us.
We have to take care of this contact we each have, at the time of our opening. Never neglect this latihan. The human soul has to be master of the house. You can bring to life every part of you, so your soul can take you from this life to the next. You will receive with the part of you that is most alive.
You will get advice from within. You must try to find your talent, yourself. Though it depends on the capacity and ability of each of us to do this. Even Ibu finds this difficult. If we knew everything it would be like fortune telling which is not right – relying on powers that are not from God.
Pay attention to your children’s development. Bapak encouraged us to start schools so our children could be truly guided to use their ability. We should also look to our selves and try to understand our strengths.
It is easy in Subud to be a healer – go farther than this – strive for the highest ideals. Don’t use other methods in your latihan or to try to awaken the souls of other people. Keep the latihan separate. Embrace what is good and discard what is not.
